Elaine is a Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) and holds a BSc (Geol), MSc (Geol) and MBA from the University of Toronto. She has extensive experience in capital markets, finance and exploration geology, serving as National Leader, Mining for the Toronto Stock Exchange after 15 years industry experience as an exploration geologist. Elaine is maintains Umbono’s Toronto office identifying North American investment opportunities, and serves on the Umbono Advisory Board

Roy Pitchford – Umbono Advisory Board, European Representative

Roy is a CA(Z), FCCA and was President of The Chamber of Mines of Zimbabwe. His extensive mining management experience includes the CEO roles of African Minerals, Cluff Resources Zimbabwe, Delta Gold Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe Platinum Mines (Australia listed), and African Platinum Plc (UK listed). He led the sales of Zimbabwe Platinum Mines and African Platinum Plc for US$400 million and US$600 million respectively to Impala Platinum. Roy is the Umbono Group London representative and serves as chairman of Umbono’s platinum company, Lesego Platinum Mining

Gérard de La Vallée Poussin – Umbono Advisory Board

Gérard was employed by De Beers and Anglo American from 1962 mostly in West and Central Africa. After attending Harvard Business School he joined the Philipp Brothers Group in the US in 1976 with responsibility for African markets in crude oil and refined oil products acquisitions and sales. Subsequently was General Manager of Phibro Energy Ltd in London and therafter CEO of Kaines UK Ltd, a resources trading company. Since 1989 Gérard has been an independent consultant on the African resources sector for major mining companies and a founder shareholder and CEO of Swala Resources Plc, a pan-African minerals exploration company

Dr Paul Nex – Umbono Senior Geologist

Paul graduated from Oxford Brookes University and holds a Ph.D. from University College Cork, Ireland, on uranium mineralization in Namibian granites. While at the Economic Geology Research Institute at the University of the Witwatersrand he managed a research project on PGE-Ni-Cu mineralization in the Platreef of the Bushveld Complex in collaboration with Anglo Platinum. His experience extends to such other mineral deposits as Irish Pb-Zn-Cu, dimension stone, alluvial and shear-zone hosted gold
